In trading on Thursday, general contractors & builders shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 3.6%. Leading the group were shares of Hovnanian Enterprises (HOVNP), up about 6.9% and shares of M/I Homes (MHO) up about 6.4% on the day.
Also showing relative strength are construction materials & machinery shares, up on the day by about 3% as a group, led by Owens Corning (OC), trading higher by about 6.5% and Texas Industries (TXI), trading higher by about 4.7% on Thursday.
